This website is owned and operated by Aaroh Naturals, trading as Desi By Nature, of Pune, Maharashtra, India. "We" and "us" on this page mean that entity; "you" means the person placing the order.
By placing an order you confirm you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract.
Adding items to the cart is not a purchase. A contract forms only when we confirm the order by email after payment, or after we accept a cash-on-delivery order.
We may decline or cancel an order — with a full refund — where the item is out of stock, where the price or description was clearly wrong, where the delivery PIN is not serviceable, or where we have good reason to think the order is fraudulent. If we cancel, you pay nothing and we tell you why.
All prices are in Indian Rupees and include GST. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay: there are no handling charges, fuel surcharges or COD fees added afterwards. Shipping, where it applies, is shown separately on the checkout page — see the shipping policy.
We can change prices at any time, but never for an order that has already been confirmed. A discount code is valid only as stated at the time it is issued and can be withdrawn for future orders.
Payments are handled by Razorpay. Card, UPI and net-banking details are entered on their systems, not ours, and we never see them.
Delivery timelines and charges are set out in the shipping policy, which forms part of these terms. Delivery estimates are the courier's and are not guarantees.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If a parcel arrives damaged, that is covered by the returns policy and is our responsibility, not yours.
Your rights to cancel, return and be refunded are set out in full in the returns and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing on this page reduces any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the E-Commerce Rules made under it.
We do not manufacture ghee. We source it from a single Gir cow dairy that uses the traditional bilona method, and we have every batch independently tested by a NABL-accredited laboratory before we sell it. We publish those reports on the lab reports page. Our FSSAI licence number is on every label and in the footer of this site.
What we state about origin, method, testing and pack size is accurate to the best of our knowledge and evidenced. What we do not do is make medical or therapeutic claims. Nothing on this site is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and nothing here is a substitute for advice from a qualified doctor.
Natural products vary between batches in colour, aroma and texture. Ghee turns liquid in summer and grainy in winter. That variation is a feature of an unadulterated product, not a defect.
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping the password confidential and for orders placed through it. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access. We may suspend an account used for fraud, abuse of discount codes, or repeated refusal of cash-on-delivery parcels.
Reviews must be your own honest experience of a product you actually bought. We publish the critical ones alongside the positive ones and do not edit review text to make it flattering. We will remove a review that is abusive, defamatory, contains someone's personal details, or is placed by a competitor. By posting one you allow us to display it on this site.
The text, photography, recipes, lab report layouts and branding on this site belong to us. You are welcome to link to any page, quote a short passage with attribution, or share our posts. You may not copy the product pages or photography wholesale for another store.
We stand behind what we sell. If a product is defective, misdescribed, damaged in transit or never arrives, we replace or refund it in full — that is set out in the returns policy and we apply it generously.
Beyond that, and to the extent Indian law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, because that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above tracks it. The terms in force when you placed an order are the ones that govern that order.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction. Before anyone goes near a court, please write to care@desibynature.in — we have settled every dispute so far by simply talking about it.
